Renaissance artist, sculptor, designer-photographer Robert Zwickel,
left the confines of his New York studio twenty-five years ago. Self taught, Bob has enjoyed success in numerous art forms. His 'Chambered Nautilus', now displayed on the permanent collection at the Museum of Natural History in New Your, has brought Bob critical acclaim. Many galleries and private collections throughout the world attest to this sensitive artists work. Influenced by the spirit and style of Winslow Homer, Bob has chosen watercolour to capture the light and vibrancy of the Caribbean Sea and it peoples, however his skill in pastel painting was manifest at a recent showing in Sam Miguel de Allende where his brilliant renditions of Central American culture and the Mayan Indians delivered stimulating, emotional impact. Noted New York art critic John Forbes said "Zwickels 'Here's lookin' at you, kid', should be on the cover of Art Today". Mr. Zwickel maintains studios in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and Little Harbour, Abaco where, if you are interested in art, are invited to attend ongoing workshops in painting, sculpture and precious metals.
